The Programme

March 23rd, 2010

BashMash is a series of voluntary collaboration days focussed on delivering practical resources for selected local charities and third sector organisations  that don’t normally have access to the resources or skills required to take advantage of social technology.

We’ll post updates about BashMash projects on this website, as well as reporting news and progress at GeekUp Sheffield, which takes place on the first Wednesday of every month at the Showroom in Sheffield.

You can also follow @bashmash news on Twitter.

BashMash is a project delivered by The GIST Foundation.

The GIST Foundation develop projects and events that promote grassroots innovation and social action through technology. We’re a not-for-profit company dedicated to supporting communities of technology practitioners to connect, collaborate and explore new opportunities through open innovation.

We’re not about corporate networking though, or idle talk, and we’re also not just for geeks. Our gatherings, meetups and participatory conferences bring together folks from richly diverse backgrounds (whether that’s technical, artistic, commercial, academic or public sector) to share perspectives, experience and talents. We help reveal the creative possibilities that come from difference and we then we like to do stuff with it, for social, economic and cultural good.
