BashMash Open Day & Social Media Surgery

Charity, voluntary, education and local government workers are invited to drop in to the BashMash Collaboration Day to get free and practical hands-on advice for putting social technology into action for their causes to reach a wider audience and promote the good work they do.

Whether it’s getting started sharing your stories and aims through blogging, forming a community around a Facebook group, or reaching out and engaging new supporters and service users through Twitter, our volunteer Social Media Surgeons will be on-hand with advice on how to use the social media to promote an important cause.

Please note the USE building on the left of the road has been painted yellow since this photo was taken.

The Social Media Surgery will be open as a drop-in centre, so there is no need to book a place. Just come along to the University of Sheffield Enterprise Zone and find out what social technology can do for you.

Venue: USE (University of Sheffield Enterprise Zone)
Portobello, Sheffield, S1 4DP
Date: Saturday 21 November 2009
Times: 1pm – 4pm

This is also a great chance for BashMash applicants to see what happens on a Collaboration Day and get an insight into their eligibility for a full project.
